We're going to the finals!

After spending the majority of Sunday in Putrajaya, the college choir ( ... maybe they should be the University Malaya choir now ... hee hee) has made it into the finals for the Inter-varsity Merdeka Choir Competition. Yesterday's heats involved 12 teams, minus Universiti Malaysia Sabah which unfortunately had to withdraw due to travelling difficulties according to the emcee. The eleven other teams included those from USM, UPM, UKM, UTM, UTHM, USIM, UPSI, UPNM and UDN. Four teams made it to the finals from the public IHLs, namely UM, UTM, UPSI and UKM. From the private sector 6 other teams were selected of which the only ones I know are Kolej Teknologi Timur, UTAR and UCSI.

Now comes hell on earth as we have 20 days to prepare another song for the finals to be held in Johor. Additionally, the entire team is also involved in the MYFO choral competition in Mines the week after. I'm predicting a month of sore throats, flared tempers and protests from everyone (including me!).
